They believe God is calling them to be a church that reflects some of his heart to a God-starved world.  The church wants to see Middelburg turn to  Jesus Christ as their only hope in life. One of their outreach ministries is their bookshop where they make Christian literature as well as other resources available.

The bookshop is well-stocked with only wholesome Christian literature, which includes -

Bibles, Theological Books, Bible Studies, Christian Living, Biographies, Men, Women, Marriage, Parenting, Novels, Children’s Books, Young Adults and Training Resources.

They also have other items on sale in the  Bookshop, and these include gifts, vouchers, CD’s, DVD’s,  Bible cover,  greeting cards, stationery as well as other items.

Protea Boekhuis | Nelspruit

Protea Boekhuis had its inception in 1992 as an intimate book store in Pretoria. Since then it has grown to become a strong competitor in the South African publishing industry with six branches across South Africa and a publishing house in Pretoria with more than 400 titles to its name.

Their publications include -

  • children’s books
  • academic works
  • fiction
  • poetry
  • biographies

They also encourage important literature in both English and Afrikaans, and they have published well-known and beloved South African authors like amongst others,  Jeanne Goosen,  George Weideman, Daniel Hugo, Fanus Rautenbach,  Pieter Mulder and Koos Kombuis.
