Clarke’s Bookshop | Cape Town

They were established in 1956 and are one of Cape Town’s oldest bookstores. They offer new, second-hand and out of print books on Southern Africa, and a large selection of general second-hand books. Of the new books in their, there is a particularly good selection of literature on South Africa, film and antiques. They also stock books published in Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana and South Africa.

They also sell all kinds of collectable books and for specialised artists books, you can rely on Clarke’s. They also specialise in Africana books,  concentrating mainly on Africa south of the Sahara. They offer an active search service for all antiquarian and secondhand books on Southern Africa.  Books are mailed worldwide.

They issue catalogues twice a year of new publications on Southern Africa with a small listing of out of print South African titles. Once you have selected your books and filled in the order form on-line with your name, address and email they will  quote registered and insured air- or surface postage.
